Spending time at the Aquatic Center feels more like being at a resort than at a neighborhood swim club. We love to spend time walking along the nature tails and sidewalks throughout the community and sit and watch the sunset as our kids run up and down the hill at the Lakefront Park Pavilion. We were so attracted to living in a “community” as opposed to a “subdivision.” On our initial visit all of Heron Bay’s wonderful amenities were on paper; however, the proposed quality of life and Minerva’s overall vision sold us. When we first starting looking at lots in phase one, we found the perfect lot in The Links, but it was not going to be ready until phase three. Committed to waiting for what we wanted, we sold our home and lived in an apartment until our dream home at Heron Bay was complete!”

• “After spending months searching for the perfect house, I finally found it at Heron Bay Golf & Country Club! Heron Bay was the perfect choice for me! Being a single young woman, safety was my number one priority when selecting my new home. I feel completely at ease walking my dog through the neighborhood and coming and going from my house. Heron Bay is one of the neatest communities I have ever seen! There are affordable homes, as well as incredible multi-million dollar homes. My absolute favorite part of Heron Bay is the nature. I love to ride my bike down to the reservoir to watch sunsets as well as walk my dog through the nature trails that weave throughout the community. My friends love coming to visit and I think they are definitely using my house as a hub when they come play golf on the amazing Canongate golf course! Heron Bay has a very comfortable and classy feel to it. I grew up in a very different neighborhood than most. Everyone was very friendly and all the kids in the neighborhood were great friends and we would go from house to house to play. Everyone was welcomed, loved and kept safe. That’s the same feeling I have in Heron Bay. I seriously could not ask to be in a better location. Whether I want to just hang inside and be lazy or bike to the pool or grab some lunch at the clubhouse, I can do it all right here in my neighborhood! It doesn’t hurt to have a Publix, doctor’s office, and outlet mall less than five minutes away either!”

Some of our favorite things about Heron Bay are our new neighbors who are now friends, and the priceless sunsets at Lakefront Park. “My family and I have lived in Heron Bay for six years. We are unusual in the fact that we are native to the Clayton and Henry area. Both my husband and I have seen many changes over the last 40 years. When looking for a new community to move into in 2004, Heron Bay was the perfect fit for us. One of us works in Forest Park so being close to the interstate was important while the other works in Griffin. Our son enjoyed the amenities of the tennis courts and was on the tennis team through his high school years. I enjoy the nature trails to walk our dog on and the pool during the summer. We have been happy to see how our community has stayed looking so nice even during the housing crisis. I know that our developer cares for this community and continues to make improvements. We love living in Heron Bay.”
