Pet Care This Spring
Check out these great preventative tips for your fury friends this spring. As the spring projects begin, be sure to keep all cleaners and chemicals out of your pets reach while Spring cleaning.
Take inventory of poisonous substance they may come in contact with while treating lawns and planting flowers. If you suspect your pet may have come in contact with or ingested a potentially poisonous substance, contact your local veterinarian or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center immediately at (888) 426-4435.
Spring pollens can cause allergic reactions, so remember pets can be allergic too! If you suspect your pet has a springtime allergy, please visit your veterinarian as soon as possible. Watch insect bites and bee stings as they could be life-threatening.
Make sure your dog or cat has a microchip for identification and wears a tag imprinted with your home address, cell phone number to contact you if they wander off in the park. Keep Easter treats and plastic eggs picked up in your yard. Chocolate is harmful to their digestive tract and can be fatal.
