The Lake
One of the most spectacular features at Heron Bay is Henry County's 1,100-acre Cole Reservoir. Here you can spend hours building favorite family memories of canoe trips and lakefront picnics. You could discover a secret fishing hole. Or just admire the view from one of our lake-side golf greens. And it's all right in your own neighborhood. You don't need reservations. You don't have to pack. You don't even need to schedule time off from work, though with all this fun, you just might want to.

Access to the lake and fishing permits are administered by the Henry County Water and Sewer Authority and are subject to their usage restrictions.

Lakefront Park
Enjoy the sunset at the newly opened Lakefront Park featuring open air pavilion with catering kitchen, two fire pits, I-Pod port for your favorite tunes and 5-acres of terraced terrain overlooking the stunning Cole Reservoir. The park can be reserved for private parties, weddings, family gatherings and more.

Aquatic Center
Whether you're into waterwings or a swim team, Heron Bay's aquatic center is the place to be this summer. In addition to the aquatic center, lake and golf course, there are lots more exciting outdoor activities available at Heron Bay. Our lighted tennis center and community sports field support all kinds of play, from neighborly tennis matches to spontaneous pick-up games. Families with smaller children will love being able to take a daily stroll to our state-of-the-art neighborhood play park.

Trails & Parks
Miles of nature trails wind throughout the community, so residents can enjoy the natural beauty of the Canongate golf course, extensive greenways and preserves and amazing views over Henry County's beautiful Cole Reservoir. This extensive trail system provides easy access to the various community parks, neighborhoods and all the fun Heron Bay has to offer.

Better yet, Heron Bay's trails are adjacent to the Cubihatcha Outdoor Center, a county nature trail system and preserve with approximately 10 miles of pristine trails and wooden boardwalks winding through nearly 1,000 acres of natural woodlands.

The Lodge
Part town hall, part neighborhood family room, the lodge at Heron Bay welcomes you home. Located beside the tennis and aquatic centers, this stunning community focal point hosts a wide array of neighborhood gatherings and homeowner association meetings. A gracious wrap around veranda with an outdoor stone fireplace and comfortable seating is the ideal shady spot to take a break from the day's activities and enjoy the company of neighbors.
