DR Horton Homes Fourth Neighborhood offers Prices from low $200s
Heron Bay Golf and Country Club announces the opening of Meadow Glen, a neighborhood of 95 homes within the master planned community in Locust Grove. Built by DR Horton Homes, one of America’s top home builders, the quaint community of Meadow Glen offers homes priced from the low to high $200,000s.
“Meadow Glen is an intimate community where neighbors will get to know each other in a small-town way, all the while enjoying the many amenities and luxuries offered by Heron Bay Golf and Country Club,” sad Lisa Brutvan, Marketing Director of Heron Bay.
“Located near the front of Heron Bay, residents of Meadow Glen will be able to walk to future dining and shopping retail space. Also, the community is adjacent to the multipurpose sports fields, so residents are sure to enjoy fast access to these amenities.”
This is the fourth neighborhood built by DR Horton Homes in Heron Bay. Seven of the builder’s most popular floor plans will be available in Meadow Glen. These spacious floor plans include design elements sought after by today’s homebuyers, including media rooms, keeping rooms, sitting rooms, master suites with large walk-in closets and spacious kitchens with center islands and breakfast areas.
The homes range in size from three to five bedrooms and feature a vast array of quality finishes. The Fieldstone model home has four bedrooms and three baths, with the master suite on the second level. The home is spacious, including a study, grand room, dining room and living room on the first floor.
A roomy kitchen with a center island offers easy access to the breakfast area and the convenience of the laundry room nearby. The second model is the Westbrook plan, a ranch-style home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
From the front entry foyer, guests walk through the home into the family room which adjoins a large kitchen. With a sitting area in the master suite, a sunroom and spacious keeping room off the kitchen, the plan offers much storage and clever design in the one-story home.

Multitude of Multitude of amenities
Just because you live on a small lot doesn't mean you can't have a Multitude of amenities!
As seen in The Atlanta Journal - Constitution on February 25, 2006
Buyers who like finding things to do in their own neighborhoods once turned exclusively to the large country club developments, where sports and social activities are centered around the community clubhouse. But many of those neighborhoods were designed with large houses on big lots - two features that aren't always on the top of the list for baby boomers.
As Atlanta land prices have continued to climb, lots have begun to shrink - which is just fine with many homeowners who don't relish spending weekends behind lawn mowers or leaf blowers. At the same time, they want places to go where they can meet neighbors, work out and relax not far from their front doors.
Builders in many of the large-scale developments under construction in metro Atlanta are answering the call for less land and more amenities by devoting sections of their projects to cottage-, Craftsman- and bungalow-style homes on lots of less than a quarter-acre. Though these homes don't have large lots, they offer access to the extensive amenities many buyers desire.
On the south side of town, the Heron Bay Golf & Country Club in Locust Grove includes a section called the Cottages, where prices start in the $180,000s. The lots are tiny - just a sixth of an acre - but they come with access to the neighborhood's walking trails, golf center, lake, pools and tennis courts. |

Heron Bay adds gated access to Lakeview community
As seen in McDonough Daily Herald on January 30, 2006
Heron Bay announced recently that the Lakeview neighborhood within the development will be a gated-access community. At its Dec. 20 meeting, the Henry Board of Commissioners approved the request for a gate located on Linkview Crossing at the entrance to Lakeview within Heron Bay. Lakeview of Heron Bay includes 82 home sites, many with sought-after views of the golf course and of Cole Reservoir. Lakefront home prices start in the low $400s.
In The Links, a neighborhood nearing completion in the same master-planned community, Heron Bay will add a new waterfall feature on the boulevard at the entrance. "This spectacular improvement provides a sense of arrival to not only the Links, but also to the Lakeview and Pointe neighborhoods within the community," said Brian Davison of Minerva Properties, developers of Heron Bay. "It will greatly enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of Heron Bay Boulevard for the entire community."
In addition, the developer is currently constructing the Heron Bay Lakefront Park, located at the end of Warm Springs Drive in The Links. The road to this family-friendly amenity has recently been paved and construction is underway. The park is expected to open for Memorial Day 2006. Lakefront Park will be available to all Heron Bay residents. It will include a main covered pavilion with restrooms, picnic shelters, a parking area, bench swings overlooking the lake and a walking path.
